Our Services

How we help—and what that actually means

Corporate Strategy

What we say: We help organizations define their strategic direction and unlock sustainable competitive advantage through rigorous analysis and stakeholder alignment.

What this means: We'll interview your executives, confirm they disagree with each other, and produce a document recommending you "focus on your core business" or "pursue adjacent opportunities"—whichever they haven't tried recently.

Operations

What we say: We drive operational excellence through lean methodologies, process optimization, and performance management systems.

What this means: We'll recommend layoffs using phrases like "right-sizing," "workforce optimization," and "resource reallocation." The survivors will be expected to do more with less, which we'll call "efficiency gains."

Digital & Technology

What we say: We accelerate digital transformation by helping organizations leverage emerging technologies to create new sources of value.

What this means: We'll explain that the internet exists and your competitors use it. We'll recommend an "app" and a "digital strategy." The actual coding will be done by someone else; we produce the PowerPoint.

Marketing & Sales

What we say: We help companies build distinctive brands and create go-to-market strategies that drive sustainable growth.

What this means: We'll survey your customers to discover they want "better quality" and "lower prices." We'll present this finding with sufficient gravitas to justify our fee. The logo redesign will be recommended but not included.

Risk & Resilience

What we say: We help organizations identify, assess, and mitigate risks while building resilience for an uncertain future.

What this means: We'll create a risk matrix that categorizes everything as either "low probability, high impact" or "high probability, low impact." The risks that actually materialize will, by definition, have been unforeseeable.

Mergers & Acquisitions

What we say: We support clients through the full M&A lifecycle, from target identification to post-merger integration.

What this means: We'll help you buy a company, then help you figure out what to do with it. When the "synergies" don't materialize, we'll help you sell it. We're paid regardless of outcome.

Sustainability

What we say: We help organizations embed sustainability into their core business strategy and achieve meaningful ESG outcomes.

What this means: We'll help you publish a sustainability report with ambitious 2050 targets. We'll also help the fossil fuel company down the street publish theirs. Net-zero commitments are our specialty; net-zero emissions are someone else's problem.

People & Organization

What we say: We help organizations unlock their people's full potential through culture transformation, talent management, and organizational design.

What this means: We'll recommend open floor plans, then private offices, then "activity-based working." We'll design org charts, then redesign them when the new CEO arrives. Culture change typically means new posters in the break room.

Implementation

What we say: We don't just advise—we roll up our sleeves and help make change happen alongside your teams.

What this means: For an additional fee, we'll stick around to help implement the recommendations we made. If things go wrong, we'll produce a lessons-learned document. If things go right, we'll produce a case study.

Proprietary Tools

Our Frameworks: Obvious Ideas, Trademarked Names

Over decades of practice, we've developed proprietary methodologies that organize common sense into billable structures.

The 7-S Framework™

Our foundational model identifies seven things that successful organizations have: Strategy, Structure, Systems, Shared Values, Style, Staff, and Skills. The insight that organizations need these things to succeed has generated approximately $4 billion in consulting fees.

The Value Creation Compass™

This four-quadrant model helps leaders navigate strategic choices by plotting them on two axes we select to make the client's preferred option appear in the upper-right quadrant. Works every time.

The Transformation Wave™

Our change management methodology recognizes that transformation happens in waves—specifically, the wave of enthusiasm, the wave of resistance, and the wave of consultants brought in when the first wave of consultants' recommendations don't work.

"They recommended we focus on our customers. It seems obvious now, but at the time, we needed someone external to validate what our frontline employees had been saying for years."

Pricing Philosophy

An investment in your organization's future

We don't publish our rates because each engagement is custom-tailored to the client's needs and budget—specifically, the maximum budget we believe we can extract through a combination of compelling proposals and executive relationships.

Our fees reflect the value we create, which we measure through proprietary methodologies that consistently demonstrate positive ROI. These calculations are available upon request and are difficult to verify independently.
